Patients are typically seen within twenty-four hours after breast augmentation surgery and then on a weekly basis for several weeks during the breast enlargement recovery process. If the patient notices any issues that may seem out of the ordinary, she should visit our office for a checkup.
Activity is limited for a brief time after surgery. It is important to begin some daily activities immediately after surgery and gradually return to a full routine in the following weeks.
Many breast augmentation patients will return to work in one or two days, provided there is no physical labor involved with the job.
The analgesic medicine that is prescribed easily controls the discomfort during breast enlargement recovery. Most patients will take the pain medicine for less than a week after surgery, and some patients do not take any medication for pain at all.
