CO2 Laser for Scars:

The fractionated CO2 ablative laser drastically improves the appearance of many types of scars, such as post-acne marks, surgical scars, and scars from old injuries, in addition to improving the look of wrinkles, large pores, and sun-damaged skin. This non-invasive procedure can be performed in our office with a topical numbing solution for a comfortable experience.

CO2 skin lasers can be customized to the patient’s individual needs. The laser depth can be adjusted from shallow to deep depending on the extent of the scar being treated. Precise wavelengths of energy heat and safely eliminate the scarred skin tissue. While CO2 scar lasers are excellent to reduce scar redness and texture, large scars may need surgical removal prior to treatment.

In our experience, fractional CO2 laser scar revision is sometimes partially covered by insurance.

Frax 1550 laser for scars helps to lighten dark marks using precise wavelengths of energy to destroy skin pigment, without damaging the healthy skin surrounding the scar. Unlike many other scar laser treatments, it is effective on skin tones from fair to dark. The settings of the handheld device are adjustable, so the treatment can be fully customized to your individual scar characteristics.
